What is an angpao?
An angpao is a red envelope with money inside, used to pass on happiness, love and good wishes. For generations it has been part of Chinese life.
Why an angpao?
It is not the amount that matters, but the gesture. The envelope stands for luck, appreciation and a bright future — while the person receiving it gets to choose something that truly matters to them.
Our story
We are a Dutch-Malaysian family. Inspired by our Malaysian-Chinese roots, we redesigned the angpao for today — to keep it alive and pass it on to a new generation.
